Taking control of my health – June’s story

For June, joining the Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme was an opportunity to improve her health and take positive steps towards reducing her risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. With support from the programme, she focused on making healthier lifestyle choices that would benefit her long-term wellbeing.
"Before joining the programme, I was overweight and had been told I had a high pre-diabetic reading. I knew I needed to make some changes to improve my health and reduce my risk of developing Type 2 diabetes."
The Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme supports people at risk of Type 2 diabetes to make positive lifestyle changes, helping them to reduce their risk and improve their overall health.
